The first time I put pen to paper, in regards to this book called "Chocolate Tales" was back in April 2012. I drew a few pictures here and there of what I thought the area, of what is now called Chew York in the story, would look like. I came across a stump in the road when it came to character design though.
I had drawn backgrounds, drawn foliage of the areas in Chew York. I'd even plotted the initial story to what now is Book 1 of the series. But.....no main character, no main villain.
It was only months later, after I had re-visited the story when I was at my day job,that I began doodling again. My love of the culinary arts and drawing were combined and I drew a character sketch of a character that would soon become known as "Chef Chewy."
